Covid-19 Update: Unfortunately we have had to suspend all face-to-face social groups technology until further notice. However, you can find more information about online and phone social groups which we are setting up by clicking the button below:

Connecting with others

Living with sight loss can be an isolating experience.  We provide opportunities for Blind and Partially-Sighted people to meet up, whether it is to share their experiences and hints and tips on living with sight loss, or just a good opportunity to get out and socialise.

Social Groups

There are many social groups for people living with sight loss across the West of England, both those run by our own staff and volunteers, and by others such as the Macular Society.  Talk to us about regular groups taking place near you.

Coffee and Convo

Our ‘Coffee and Convo’ is a regular monthly informal meet up for coffee and conversation in a friendly and welcoming environment where you can chat with other like-minded people living with sight loss.  Coffee and Convo sessions are currently held in regularly in Bristol, Bath and Thornbury, and we hope to start new groups in other locations soon.

Bristol Pub Socials

If you prefer good conversation over a good pint then why not come along to our Bristol Pub Socials.  This is a lively group that meets monthly for drinks and lots of laughter and maybe a sing-a-long too!

Want to help?

We are always looking for volunteers to set up new social events.  If you would like to help, or even to set up a social event in your neighbourhood, we can support you.  Please contact our team on 0117 322 4885.
