Living with sight loss can be an isolating experience at any time, and doubly so during this period.  We are working hard to provide opportunities for Blind and Partially-Sighted people across the region to talk from their own homes, either in groups or 1-1, to help with isolation.  We are currently running or setting up the following:

Telephone befriending service

If you would like to receive regular telephone calls, we can match you with one of our telephone befrienders, who will call for a friendly chat at a time which is convenient for you.

Social groups from home

Similar to our normal face-to-face social groups, we have set up groups of people to meet and chat together over the phone or through an online video link.

Peer support links

If you would like to be linked with someone else in your area who is visually-impaired, for mutual support or just for a friendly chat, we can put you in touch.

If you are interested in finding out more about any of these services, or what is available in your area, please call us on either 0117 322 4885 (Bristol, Bath, South Glos) or 01380 723682 (Wiltshire and Swindon).

Sight Support provides local services for people living with sight loss across Bristol, Bath & North-East Somerset and South Gloucestershire and in Wiltshire under the banner of Wiltshire Sight. Sight Support is a UK registered charity no. 1178384.
