Our amazing Mice are making their escape!

Hopefully you’ve admired the window, marvelled at our mice and entered the competition.  And here’s your chance to take a mouse home.  All of this year’s mice are available to buy via auction.

Our reserve prices include packing and postage.  After those costs, all of your bid amount will go towards our work supporting blind and partially sighted people in Wiltshire.  So place your bids and know that you’re helping some of the most vulnerable people in our community.

We have an audio version of this competition available on request.  We can email or send via USB a reading of all the clues so that everyone can take part in the Christmas fun and have a chance to win.  Please contact us for an audio recording.

Competition Terms and Conditions

Wiltshire Sight are running a prize draw competition to guess the character names of the mice featured in our Devizes shop window during the Christmas period.

The competition is free to enter.  All correct entries will be entered into a Prize Draw.  One winner will be drawn on 12^th January.  The winner will receive a hamper, as displayed in our Devizes Shop (36 The Market Place, Devizes).

Who can enter?

Any correct entries received before the deadline will be submitted into the prize draw.

There is no charge to enter this competition.

You may enter up to 10 times per person.

The draw will be overseen by our Responsible Persons; Karen Monk and Paula Basham.  The competition is being overseen by our Shop Manager, Lisa Swanston-Smith.  These people, plus their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the competition.

Entry requirements

To enter; correctly identify the names of all 15 mice.  Write the names of each mouse character beside the clue on our entry form.

Each mouse has been created to represent a character.  This character is further alluded to in the clues.  The character names have been set, and will be published after 12^th January.  We will not be entering into any discussions about the characters or their names.

Only entries who have correctly identified all 15 mice will be entered into the draw.

Entries will be checked by our volunteers and staff team.  In the event of difficulty reading handwriting, or damaged entries, our shop manager Lisa Swanston-Smith will make the final decision on whether an entry is correct.  We will not enter into any discussions about this decision.

Answers will be published after the 12^th January.

Entry forms

To enter, collect an application form from our Devizes Shop (36 The Market Place, Devizes, SN10 1JG).

Application forms are available in large print, giant print and as an audio on USB.  If you would like to request an alternative format, or would like support to enter, please call our Devizes office on 01380 723 682.  Please note, the volunteers in our shop can be very busy during Christmas season, and may not be able to offer help immediately.

Submitting your entry

You may enter by dropping your entry in to our shop at 36 The Market Place, Devizes, SN10 1JG.  Entries must be received by 1pm on 12^th January.

You may post your entry, but proof or postage is not proof of receipt.  Please be especially aware of the seasonal delays and bank holidays if you decide to post your entry to us.  We recommend that where possible, you bring your entry in person to our shop.
