Volunteer with us
Could you give your time to help local blind and partially sighted people?

We are always looking for friendly and dedicated people to join our team of volunteers. Whatever skills and experience you have, we’d love to hear from you. We have a wide range of volunteer roles available, including office roles, befrienders, fundraisers and designers.
Accessibility is of course very important to us. We are really happy to discuss how to make any volunteer role accessible to you. We can provide training if you’re looking to develop new skills. And of course, there will be lots of support from our friendly team.
In November 2021 we opened our first charity shop, in Salisbury. We are now looking for volunteers in the area to help out in the shop. It’s a chance to be part of an exciting new venture!
Our volunteering roles are listed at the bottom of this page. If you’d like an informal chat about opportunities, please email volunteering@sightsupportwest.org.uk or call our Volunteer Coordinator, Becs, on 07849 833 047.
“The team at Sight Support are friendly and approachable. The organisation’s personal touch makes me feel informed and valued.”
“I’ve learnt a huge amount about how sight loss can change your life, but I did not realise how volunteering would add an extra dimension to my own life. I’ve loved every minute!”
