Please note that this hub is changing venue on the 9th of February 2024 onwards, the new venue will be Midsomer Norton Methodist Church, High St, Midsomer Norton, Radstock BA3 2DR

2nd Friday of the month – 10am to 12pm:

• Drop in to see your advisor between 10 & 11am.
• Appointments available – contact us to book.
• Social group at this hub between 10am & 12pm.

Family and friends are also welcome to attend.

At this monthly hub, your knowledgeable Sight Loss Advisor will offer information, advice and guidance on how to address the challenges sight loss can pose.   

Your Advisor will have a display of equipment they can demonstrate to aid daily living and help you remain independent. Additionally, they can:  

• Suggest ways of managing at home. 
• Help you understand your eye condition and explain the registration and certification of your sight loss. 

• Advise on how to continue reading. 
• Offer guidance on getting out and about and maintaining your independence. 
• Support and advise you on the use of everyday gadgets such as mobiles and tablets. 
• Introduce you to specialist electronic magnification equipment. 
• Let you know about socialising opportunities in your area and online. 
• Advise on finances and employment issues. 
• Tell you about further services we offer including our twice-yearly magazine and monthly e-newsletter, and let you know about any upcoming events taking place. 
• Signpost you to other organisations that may be able help you. 
• Tech support is also available at this hub / Resource Centre. Please contact us to book an appointment if you would like assistance or training on how to access the online world.
