Volunteer Andy featured by BBC on life-changing AI glasses

We’re delighted that one of our volunteers, Andy Evans, has been featured by the BBC’s local news website, sharing how new AI glasses have transformed his daily life.

Andy, who lives near Bath, began using the glasses last year and says they have been “life-changing”, helping him with everything from ordering in restaurants to navigating obstacles. The story was covered by BBC Bristol, you can read the full article on the BBC website

Andy now volunteers with us at Sight Support West of England, helping others adjust to sight loss and explore the technology that can support independence.

Our Digital Skills Advisor works with people across the region to build confidence using technology, including tools like the Meta glasses. We also run digital courses where you can learn in a friendly, supportive setting.

If you’d like to find out more, please call us on 0117 322 4885 or visit our Events page for details of upcoming courses.
