New app guides added to our Knowledge Hub

We’ve added three new resources to our Knowledge Hub, sharing practical information about smartphone apps that many blind and partially sighted people find helpful in everyday life.
The new guides focus on apps that can support:
- finding places to eat and ordering food
- using buses and trains
- accessing everyday information using the Seeing AI app
Each article gives a clear overview of what the apps do and how they can help and may be useful if you’re exploring new ways to use your phone or tablet.
The guides were developed with input from Roger, one of our Techbuster volunteers, drawing on his experience of using accessibility apps.
You can explore the new resources here:
- Apps That Make a Difference: food and eating out
- Apps That Make a Difference: public transport
- Apps That Make a Difference: Seeing AI
If you’d like help using any of these apps, or want to talk through whether they might be helpful for you, our Digital Skills Support Service can offer one-to-one support at local hubs.
