We run two different digital skills courses to help blind and partially sighted people use smartphones and tablets more confidently.

Introduction to smart device accessibility

This two session course is for people who still have some usable vision and would like to make text and screen content easier to see. You will learn how to use built in accessibility features such as magnification, larger text and contrast settings.

Introduction to VoiceOver and TalkBack – screen reader course

This two session course is for people who have little or no usable vision and would like to learn how to use their smartphone or tablet through spoken feedback. You will learn how your device can read text and screen content aloud and how to control it using simple touch gestures.
