We would love for you to join us at The Bath Pavilion on the 16th of October 2025 between 10.00 am and 3 pm (last entry 2.30 pm) for our next Eye Can exhibition.
Eye Can Bath is a free exhibition that provides an opportunity for anyone living with sight loss, along with their friends and family, to find out about the latest technology, equipment and services that are available.
The exhibition will have a wide range of exhibitors covering many interest areas. These include technology, sport & leisure, health & well being, and children, young people, and families.

10.30am – What Digital Technology Can Do For You
Feeling left behind by the digital world? Smartphones and online tools can make everyday tasks easier and more accessible for people with sight loss. Discover how voice commands, having text read aloud and more can support independent living. Join us to learn about our digital skills support service, available at a hub near you!
11.45am – Ask the Expert: Amar Shah
Amar is a Trustee for Sight Support West of England and a leading optometrist working in the region. He will be taking your questions, helping to challenge common myths around sight loss, and explaining the support and treatment that is available.
1.00pm – Fraud Protect Talk with Claire Bounds, Fraud Protect Officer, Avon and Somerset Police
Fraud is now the most experienced crime type in the UK and accounts for 44% of all crime. This presentation will detail different fraud methods, criminal tactics and tricks, with a focus on the ways you can keep yourself, and those you love, safe.
2.00pm – The Digital Switchover: What You Need to Know
Landlines in the UK are going digital. Sodhi Dhillon from BT will be explaining what this means, how the switchover is happening, and outlining the support available for customers to ensure they are safeguarded during the change. Website: www.bt.com/about/all-ip/connected-together

Access:
There are steps at the main entrance, but accessible ramp access is available at the side of the building. Volunteers will be available to assist.
How to get to The Pavilion
The Pavilion is centrally located in the heart of Bath, between Bath Rugby and Bath Cricket Grounds with good parking facilities, easy access to both the Bus and Train stations.
Bus:
Bath bus station is a 10 minute walk away. The closest bus stop is called North Parade (outside the venue) and serves buses; U1, 19, A4, D1X and X39.
The U1 bus leaves across the road from the bus station on Dorchester Road every 12 minutes and stops outside the venue.
Walking from Bath Bus Station / Bath Spa Train Station:
- From the bus / train station on Dorchester, cross the road to Manvers street
- Cross again at North Parade (audio pedestrian traffic light)
- Cross again over to the river side of the street and along the very narrow walkway to get to the Pavillion. We will have volunteers along this pathway to assist you in finding the venue
Parking:
Short-stay Pay & Display parking is available outside the Pavilion (4-hour max).
Long-stay parking is available across the road at Bath Cricket Club (BA2 4EX), opposite the Sports Centre. Up to 8 hours is £16. Visit their website for details: Bath Cricket Club Car Park.

The Pavilion is a short walk from Bath train and bus stations.
Clean Air Zone:
Bath has a Class C Clean Air Zone, which may affect some vehicles (including taxis, vans, minibuses, and HGVs).

Refreshments:
We’ll be offering light refreshments on the day, including tea, coffee, soft drinks, sandwiches, and cakes. If this doesn’t suit your dietary needs, feel free to bring your own lunch. There’s also a café in the neighbouring Leisure Centre, and Bath city centre is a 10-minute walk away.
