Eye Can is a free exhibition bringing you many of the UK’s leading organisations who offer support to blind and partially sighted people.

We would love for you to join us at the Guildhall in Salisbury on the 5th of October between 10.00 am and 4.30 pm for our next Eye Can exhibition.

Eye Can Salisbury is a free exhibitions designed to provide an opportunity for blind and partially sighted people, along with their friends and family, to meet national and local product suppliers, opportunity providers, and service providers.

The exhibition will have 25 exhibitors covering a range of interest areas.  These include technology, sport & leisure, work & employment, health & well being,  and children, young people, and families.

Optelec, Newmedica, Irwin Mitchell, Associated Optical, Seeing Solutions,  Wilton Riding for the Disabled, Guide Dogs, Humanware,  The Onward Club – Stroke Association, Vision Aid, Cobalt, Professional Vision Services, Queen Alexandra College,  Macular Society,  Dolphin, Sight and Sound, Salisbury Talking News, Abilty Net, Blind Veterans, RNIB Eye Clinic Liaison Officer, Wiltshire Centre for Independent Living,  New College Worcester, Bobby Van Trust,  Carer Support Wiltshire and  Scottish & southern Electricity Networks.

In addition, there will be a varied speaker programme and opportunities to meet new and old friends.

11:30 am Ask The Expert: Amar Shah

Amar is a Trustee for Sight Support West of England and a leading Optometrist working in the West of England and will be taking your questions and helping to correct any myths around sight loss and explaining the support and treatment that is out there.

1:00 pm  Accept, Adapt , Achieve!

Marc Gulwell, our Sight Loss Advice Team Manager, has been living with severe sight loss and working for and with people with sight loss for many years. In this talk, he will discuss how he and others manage day to day life when blind or partially sighted. Find out about the tools, equipment and gadgets that make things just that little bit easier.

2.30 pm Macular Society – Current research

Sarah Clinton, Research Officer for the Macular Society will be giving a short talk on Macular research projects. Joining her, Tyler Phillips, Regional Manager for South Central, will be talking about Macular Society services. They will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
