This Resource Centre offers appointment-only sight loss advice with your local Community Sight Loss Advisor.

Friends, family members, and carers are very welcome to attend appointments.

Advice and support from your Community Sight Loss Advisor

At your appointment, your Community Sight Loss Advisor provides practical, personalised advice to help you manage daily life and understand your options. They can:

• Demonstrate daily living equipment to support everyday tasks
• Offer practical tips for managing at home or when out and about
• Explain eye conditions, registration, and certification
• Discuss reading options with sight loss
• Share local and online social opportunities
• Provide advice on finances and employment
• Introduce magnifiers and electronic equipment
• Explain our services and events
• Signpost to other organisations for additional support

Some of our Community Sight Loss Hubs offer one to one digital skills support with a Digital Skills Advisor and include friendly social groups.
