Donate

Every donation we receive goes towards helping those who have been newly diagnosed with sight loss or are living with sight loss and, with the number of people with sight loss likely to increase significantly in the coming years, every penny counts.

Please don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation if you can! It means we receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to you.

How will your donation help?

Your donation, no matter how big or small, makes a huge difference. Examples of how your donation might be used:

  • £10 could help pay for our website, including pages that other organisations can reference and direct people to.
  • £35 could help pay for our volunteering co-ordinator to recruit, train and support local volunteers.
  • £53 could pay for half a day for one of our Community Sight Loss Advisors to attend a meeting with one of the local ECLOs, rehab team or eye hospital.
  • £105 could pay for one of our Community Sight Loss Advisors to attend a Hub for the day, which includes 1-to-1 guidance as well as a peer support social group.

"The biggest difference has been to my confidence. I will now do things around the house like washing up and making breakfast which I wouldn’t have tried before. I am able to go out to the shop, and feel confident crossing the road."

Thank you

Sight loss has practical and emotional consequences. It can restrict social and personal interaction and lead to isolation. It can remove a person’s independence as they have to rely on others for simple day-to-day tasks. It can be dangerous and scary as people have to re-learn how to safely use their kitchen, move around their home and go outside.

Sight loss can be devastating. Not everyone with sight loss needs our help, but many do. With your help, we can be there to make sure people don’t just survive, but thrive after sight loss. Thank you.
