Donate

Every donation we receive goes towards helping those who have been newly diagnosed with sight loss or are living with sight loss and, with the number of people with sight loss likely to increase significantly in the coming years, every penny counts.

Please don’t forget to Gift Aid your donation if you can! It means we receive an extra 25p for every £1 donated, at no extra cost to you.

How will your donation help?

Your donation, no matter how big or small, makes a huge difference. Examples of how your donation might be used:

  • £10 could give 10 people access to our audio newsletters, welcome packs and advice sheets on easy-to-use USB sticks – no WiFi or email needed.
  • £25 could help pay for vital tech training, helping visually impaired people master smart phones and tablets
  • £53 could pay for half a day of personalised support from a Community Sight Loss Advisor, offering guidance and reassurance after sight loss
  • £105 could pay for a peer support social group run by a community sight loss advisor – connecting people with sight loss, sharing tips and reminding them they’re not alone.

"The biggest difference has been to my confidence. I will now do things around the house like washing up and making breakfast which I wouldn’t have tried before. I am able to go out to the shop, and feel confident crossing the road."

Thank you

Sight loss has practical and emotional consequences. It can restrict social and personal interaction and lead to isolation. It can remove a person’s independence as they have to rely on others for simple day-to-day tasks. It can be dangerous and scary as people have to re-learn how to safely use their kitchen, move around their home and go outside.

Sight loss can be devastating. Not everyone with sight loss needs our help, but many do. With your help, we can be there to make sure people don’t just survive, but thrive after sight loss. Thank you.
