Digital Skills Courses – Now booking
We are launching a new two session Digital Skills course designed to help you feel more confident using the accessibility features already built into your smartphone or tablet.
Our course, An Introduction to Smart Device Accessibility, is friendly and practical. It explores tools such as magnification, contrast settings and voice assistants. You will learn how to use voice commands to send messages, make calls and search for information, and how small adjustments can make everyday tasks easier.
This course is suitable for people who have some usable vision and would benefit from learning how to adjust display settings and visual accessibility features. A separate course focusing on screen readers will be available later in the year.
Courses are running across our region this April and May, with sessions taking place in towns and cities including Devizes, Salisbury, Bristol, Kingswood, Gloucester, Cirencester, Thornbury, Bath, Midsomer Norton, Stroud, Cheltenham, Trowbridge and Swindon.
Places are limited at each venue and booking is essential. To register your interest and find out dates near you, please contact us on 0117 322 4885 or email info@sightsupportwest.org.uk
One to one Digital Skills support is also available at many of our Community Sight Loss Advice Hubs. If you would prefer individual support, or would like help before attending a course, please get in touch.
