Showdown Have a Go Day – Bristol

We are exploring plans to start a regular Showdown club in Bristol and are hosting a Have a Go Day so people can come along and try the sport.

Showdown is a fast paced table top sport designed for blind and partially sighted players. Using paddle style bats, players hit an audible ball across the table and track the game through sound.

In partnership with UK Showdown and Access Sport, Sight Support West of England is hosting this free session in Bristol this May.

The session is open to people aged 18 and over with any disability. Beginners are very welcome.

What to expect

This Have a Go Day is an opportunity to try Showdown in a relaxed and welcoming environment. The game involves moving around the table, using paddle style bats to hit an audible ball towards your opponent’s goal.

No previous experience is needed, and support will be available on the day to help new players learn the game.

Comfortable clothing and flat shoes are recommended.
