New community hubs launching across Bristol

We’re excited to announce the launch of four new monthly Community Sight Loss Advice Hubs in Bristol, making it easier for more people to access advice, support, and friendly conversation close to home.

These new locations expand the areas we cover across the city, bringing us closer to the communities we serve. Whether you are newly diagnosed, looking for advice, or just want to meet others with similar experiences, our hubs are here to help.

Each hub offers a drop-in hour from 11am to 12pm, where you can speak with a Community Sight Loss Advisor, explore equipment and aids, and get practical advice tailored to your needs. From 11am to 1pm, we welcome everyone to stay for a relaxed social session – a great way to connect with others, enjoy a cuppa, and find out what’s happening locally.

Personalised advice and support is at the heart of our community services. Our new hubs will offer opportunities to ask questions, try equipment, and connect with others locally.

Quote from our CEO, Mike Silvey

“We know that every community is different, and people’s needs can vary depending on where they live and their personal experiences. By opening more hubs across Bristol, we hope to make our support more accessible to everyone – particularly those who may not have found it easy to reach us before. Our aim is to meet people where they are, offer practical advice, and help build stronger local connections for anyone living with sight loss.”

We look forward to welcoming you to one of our new hubs soon.
